Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Adequate Opportunity LLC, which operates AO Sporting Goods(“we,” “us” or “our”), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit aosportinggoods.com(the “Site”), place an order or contact us. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. Our Terms of Service also apply.

Information you give us. When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, shipping address and, if you choose to give it, your phone number, along with the items you ordered. Messages through our contact form, or emails to support, bring us your name, email address, the message itself and any order number you add.

Payment information. Card details you enter at checkout are used to process your payment, as described under Payment data below.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our servers record standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time of each request.

Your cart.Your cart is saved in local storage on your own device, so it survives a closed tab. Empty the cart, or clear this site’s data in your browser, to remove it.

We use personal information to:

• process, ship and deliver your order, and send you emails about it, such as tracking details;
• answer your questions and handle returns and refunds;
• detect and prevent fraud and misuse of the Site;
• keep the Site working, secure and easy to use;
• keep business, tax and accounting records;
• meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We send marketing email only to people who ask for it, and every marketing email tells you how to stop receiving it.

Woosa Payments (Woosa B.V., KvK 71751513, Zwolle, the Netherlands) processes our payments in partnership with Adyen N.V., a firm licensed and supervised by De Nederlandsche Bank. To process a payment, we share transaction data with Woosa Payments and Adyen N.V., including the order amount, your name, the shipping address you enter at checkout, your email address and card details. They use this data to carry out the payment, to screen for fraud and to meet their legal obligations. Both are based in the Netherlands, so this payment data may be processed there.

Each checkout is a single payment for that order. We run no subscriptions or memberships, and no card stays on file. We do not keep your card details after your order is paid. The payment section of our Terms of Service describes how charges work.

We share personal information only as needed to run our business:

• Payment partners, as described above, to process your payment.
• Shipping carriers such as USPS and UPS, which receive your name, shipping address and order details so they can deliver your package.
• Service providers that host the Site, deliver our email and help us operate the store. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
• Legal and safety reasons, when the law requires it, or when we believe disclosure is needed to protect our rights, our customers or others, or to prevent fraud.
• Business transfers, if our business is sold, merged or reorganized, in which case this policy continues to apply to the information transferred.

No one buys personal information from us, and none of it goes out for cross-context behavioral advertising.

The Site uses your browser’s local storage to remember your cart, and may use cookies and similar technologies that are needed to keep the Site secure and working. We may also use them to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.

Your browser lets you block or delete cookies and stored data for this site. If you do, parts of the Site, such as your cart, may not work as expected. Where the law requires it, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.

An order record is held for as long as it has work to do: getting the order to you, working through a return or refund, and the tax, accounting and legal records a business has to hold. Emails and form messages are held while a question is open and for a reasonable time after, as a history of what was said. Information with no further use is deleted or de-identified.

Every page of the Site loads over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and us is encrypted, and only the people and service providers who need personal information to run the store can reach it. Even so, no website, network or storage system is beyond attack, and we cannot rule out information you send us being accessed, used or disclosed in a way this policy does not describe. If you think your information has been compromised, email us right away.

Write to us and we will tell you which of your personal details we hold, fix anything that is wrong, or erase it. The privacy law of your state may add more, such as a copy of your information or a way to opt out of certain uses of it. Send requests to support@aosportinggoods.com. We confirm who you are before acting on a request, and we answer within the time the law sets.

Using these rights never changes the price, service or treatment you get from us. Some information must be kept to meet legal obligations, such as tax records for completed orders, and we will tell you if that applies to your request.

Many of our products are made for young players, but the Site is intended for adults. Orders must be placed by someone who is at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where they live, as described in our Terms of Service. Personal information from children under 13 is not something we knowingly collect. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email support@aosportinggoods.com and we will delete it.

The Site may link to websites that we do not operate. This policy does not cover them, and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Please read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

We are based in the United States and sell only to customers in the contiguous United States. Information we collect is stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate, including the Netherlands for payment data, as described above.

A revised version of this policy is posted on this page and applies from the day it appears. If a revision would materially change what we do with personal information we already hold, we email customers first, before it applies to their information.
